With gloom all around him in the Ferrari garage after what team boss Stefano Domenicali labelled a very disappointing session, it fell to Fernando Alonso to try and keep spirits raised.

I am pleased with the work we have done today, because we squeezed every last drop of performance out of the car.

i see so bad for you alonso. i'm staying very positive too. i know you will win the 2012 title somehow. hope my instinct is right, care less for prophecies.

Ferrari must be desperate, they are trying different parts instead of better ones. Panicking, methinks. Why they don't learn from Ducati, two years of trying different parts with no improvement. The only thing that would help them is pulling a McLaren and steal Newey's computer.

I can't see Alonso finishing higher than 3rd if Webber and Hamilton don't retire, and I reckon Vettel will blast through the field and maybe catch Alonso.. wd be interesting to see what happens then ... lets find out tomorrow.

Jose, What goes around, comes around. It'll make it an interesting race though!

Richard, I thought that too. Maybe the stress is getting to him and he's reverting to type. Moaning when things aren't going his way.
