F1 » Raikkonen: Win 'nothing to jump around about'

Kimi Raikkonen appeared decidedly underwhelmed by his first grand prix success since 2009, despite having returned the Lotus team to the top step of the podium and beaten title contenders Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel in Abu Dhabi.

An excellent put down of Coulthard . Kimi you are the most honest chap in F1 today. Winning is great - that's the whole point of racing but so many blow it out of context. If it is one's first win then a big smile is understandable but after that it is just satisfying.
Let's hope it is not the only one for Kimi

Other than Kimi winning the race, Fernando closing the points gap, and Vettel showing he can pull off an occasional pass, the highlight for me was when Seb poured the juice over Coultard. Has that guy always been such a humourless stuffed shirt, or did it come with the job?

"We've always been a bit behind and not really had the speed to challenge them in normal races."

Kimi, pleased for the win, giving credit to the efforts the team has made to improve the car, but is also realistic as this was not a "normal" race. Lets hope the momentum at Lotus continues.

I love that kind of wit, people just don't get it at all. With the current rules and teams ******* up, he's a very good bet for a WDC in a good car, please give it to him next year

If you'd followed Kimi for a while you'd know the way he behaved was perfectly normal for him, and a massive reason why millions of fans around the world love him.

Probably a bit of early mind games towards Vettel and some other more 'exuberant' winners, to make them feel a bit silly.

Why should he jump around? Its a race, its what he's paid to try and do, he's won throughout his career and will hopefully carry on doing so!

It wasn't his engineer who was talking to him over the radio. It was a different fella and according to Ted Krawitz (SkyF1) Kimi's engineer was telling him not to do it :D
