If you factor in all the mechanical retirements this season (including all the other drivers) Hamilton would be second only to the Vettel and still in with a chance of winning the championship. Love him or hate him he has been extremely unlucky this season.

So poor Lulu never had the car to win at a tracks debut?

Valencia 2008, Qualified 2nd, finished second.

South Korea 2010, Qualified 4th, finished second.

India 2011, Qualified 2nd (3 place penalty for ignoring yellow flags) finished 7th.

Maybe if he could make the most out of a car like Alonso or Vettel rather than blame it for everything he could have won any or all of those races.

could not agree with you anymore soam Mclaren has cost Lewis and themselves the WDC. Its been very sad to see the fastest in f1 according to Brundle and the best in f1 according to a Austrian triple WDC being compromised by car unreliability and team mistakes

@ Taipan - your anti LH comments are pathetic, immature, and boring, get a life! - Anyone who knows F1 can see Mcl have been poor this season. JB has lost about 50 points, LH maybe 70 points from slack pit stops, and an unreliable car - nothing to do with how either has driven the car

Thanks for that mature reply Fred,

Lulu claimed he never had a car that could have won a debut race, I suggested examples where he did. That's not immature or pathetic it's factual, boring perhaps but we can't all be as fascinating as you.

As for 2012, there haven't been any debut tracks so far this year that's why I didn't mention it so God only knows why you got on your high horse whining about how many points McLaren have cost their drivers this year, nothing to do with this topic has it?

Whatever he hopes to achieve, he 'can not' acheive without 'the team'

But what he has not achieved in 2012 has been done by the team.
