What a Joke this has to be the worst line up in F1 EVER!! MA Qing Hua will be an absolute liability and danger to all the other drivers his only wins ever in a car have been in a 1.6 Touring car. F1 is supposed to be for the BEST drivers in the world!!

Surprised that you say "HRT got their fingers burned with Indian sponsors". It is said that Karthikeyan brings around $12 million from Tata!

There have been 9 F1 races at Shanghai. You would have thought that in nearly a decade that there would have been enough promotion and interest to have Chinese sponsors queueing up but so far nothing significant. Also if the only driver to appear on the horizon is a Touring car champion, it doesn't bode well. He may have driven a few F3 and A1 races but he is not exactly hot property

@Steve Exactly, In fact I would say Tata have their fingers burned by sponsoring a driver driving a car which barely ever gets any attention..(even from its crew members considering how less reliable it is)

Spoken to Ma a few times on Twitter and he's a very nice guy. Not exactly the most deserving of an F1 seat, but I wish him all the best.

What a disaster this would be. Not only would be perhaps the least qualified F1 driver in history (certainly in the last 20 or so years - even Yuji Ide had some decent results in Formula Nippon), but he would be denying a Van de Garde, Clos or Valsecchi, any of whom are infinitely more deserving of a race seat, a potential break. The FIA seriously need to tighten up the criteria for being able to get a superlicence.
