As a huge Jenson Button fan I must admit that throughout most of this year that Hamilton has done a better job than him.

He has been having the season that Hamilton had last year with not so good results.

I believe next year if McLaren can fix the reliability and keep the speed in the car that it could be Button's year. I don't think Perez will be as strong as him next year & Button still has a couple of good years in him.

Let's hope next year is as good as this year entertainment wise!

"This car hasn't suited me as well as McLaren's last two"

Wow what kind of a comment is that? He's been with mclaren for 3 years and doesnt like their cars since joining!

Basically he wants a car that suits him and wants it to be blistering faster than the rest for him to be happy. ie Brawn racing when he fluked a WDC.

Button, performing in a car that isnt performing is where champions shine. Not vice versa. :thumbs down:

Button Basher, I think you misread his comment. I believe he meant that this year's car hasn't suited him as well as the previous two cars, not that he hasn't liked any of the cars since joining.

He never said he wants a car that won't even give the competition a chance, and it's not at all unreasonable for a driver to want a car that suits his driving style. When you're about to take a corner at 200km/h, you want to be pretty well in control of it.

I speak as a Button fan but the facts are that unless he has the fastest car he is not in the top league. McClaren have had a bad season for all sorts of reasons and as has been said before they have not won a constructors championship for i think 14 years. That says it all for me, McClaren are all talk and no action. There is something wrong with their approach and they need to get it sorted. Perez might well push Button very hard and if he does i can see Mr Dennis saying enough is enough this man Button cannot win us another championship and we need to find someone who can. There lies the problem, Lewis has gone, they upset Alonso, I don't think Vettel would go there so that leaves the comeback kid Kimi Raikonnen and has'nt he won two championships for them before.

@Button Basher: When i read that it was very clear to me that he meant this years car is the only one of the 3 he has driven that HASN'T suited him. If it meant what you are claiming there would be a comma after "suited me". Brush up on your English grammar there chap.

His worst year at Mclaren? It hasnt really been different from the other 2. Just hanging around, getting points. Mixing it with the drivers on his 'level' now and then. Winning also only now and then. Keeping up in the championship through consistency, not speed. Typical dull Button.
