F1 » Ecclestone set to pitch French GP against Le Mans

The return of the French Grand Prix to next year's F1 calendar could pitch the race directly against the Le Mans 24 Hours if Bernie Ecclestone gets the date he wants....

Will stay a fantasy, but why not a double-feature at LeMans? F1 on Sat afternoon 2pm, then the proper endurance race starting around 5-6pm?

Zero chance of a clash, Le Mans has already been moved to avoid a clash with the now cancelled F1 race in the US, therefore it would be moved to the original date.

That being said, you do have to wonder how much longer Bernie will be at the helm of F1, he's becoming a bit of a loose cannon and the sports in danger of becoming a laughing stock.

Agree with Pete Ste, F1 a laughing stock already with the midget getting what he wants, I'm alreadylosing interest in F1 since its gone to pay if you want to see me, anyhow, given the choice - Le Mans everytime! Far more interesting along with more friendly teams & fans!

Potential organisers of a French GP must be marvelled...

Obviously the best solution would be to put LM24 back on June 16th and the French GP the week after. Would be nice then from ticket sellers to offer a package for both events.
