Yes Mr Twitmarsh, the 'best driver pairing' available. I'd be surprised if McLaren get a top 3 qualifying start anytime next year... hell, I think Lewis in the slower Merc might give these two a taste of dust

Perez does seem to have issues in qualifying quite often, and when Sauber have qualified well, Koba has generally been ahead. I think McLaren are hoping that if JB can focus more on beating the opposition more, and his team mate less, the rest will take care of itself, Perez I think though has plenty of scope for improvement, from an already good level.

Jenson is not quick enough in quali to win a championship if there are other quick cars around on the grid. I think Perez will be fine at McLaren, however there's no question that the decision for Perez has been a bit hasty. At the time Whitmarsh was crowing about Perez having scored almost twice as many points as his teammate, but if he had actually paid attention he could have known that was largely due to a few lucky breaks on Sergio's side and a few unlucky ones on Kamui's side. Meanwhile the difference has reduced to 8 points (66 vs 58)...Seems a bit odd to say with such certainty that Perez is the obvious choice while Kamui might be ou of a drive next year.
