I'm surprised they haven't confirmed Grosjean for next year already. I wonder if Boullier isn't the only one making these decisions at Lotus?

A case can be made for them being 2nd in constructors if Grosjean hadn't been in so many accidents. The decision may even rest on where they finish in the constructors. I think there is like 10-12 million Euro between 4th and 2nd. That's going to make a big difference to any team.

Lotus has done a great job with the car. They've kept up with the development curve, improved performance all season long, and set themselves up for a strong 2013. However, the Abu Dahbi win was a bit of a fluke. It took a Hamilton retirement, Vettel to start from pit lane, and Weber to drive like an idiot. Take all these out of the formula and Kimi would have been 4th or 5th... again. Love the enthusiasm Eric, but short of another alignment of the stars, another win is unlikely based on performance alone.

@Kevin Fluke? twice kimi 's healthy gap were wipe off by Safety Car. And Alonso with faster car can do nth abou kimi despite having faster car on the restart. Compare his pace to romain, it was 7tenth different in average.

Kamui to Lotus? no way Jose. Hes niether that fast nor that consistant . Give me Di Resta or Bottas, but I think Lotus needs a French speaking driver for their owners reason to be in F1 and Romain is fast enough and bright enough to gain consistancy . Two drivers regularily hitting the podium for lotus next year? Kimi wdc x2.

I'd ditch Grosjean, he has had too many chances and just keeps on crashing. Even if some aren't his fault, you don't see Kimi crashing due to someone elses era as he takes avoiding action and spots it before it happens. However Grosjean just doesn't seem aware of what is going on around him, he should have known Perez was going to come back on, he could easily see him. Grosjean has cost the Team Third place this year, any other driver could have just lapped and not crashed, not done anything amazing and scored way more points.

They're lucky to have Kimi, he has finished every lap, never crashes and I guess because they haven't had to do repairs on Kimi's car, he's made the repair bills for Grosjeans car not have a big of an impact on their wallet.

I'd seriously ditch Grosjean and offer Kovalainen, Glock or Senna a seat. They're not AAA drivers but they don't crash and they'll score points. Kov has won a race and been on the podium before and scored consistent points. Timo out races
