Sebastian Vettel: If you look at the races we've done so far I think Fernando's and my DNF's or calamities are equal

@ LewisMerc, 11/7, so 61 percent of the time Vettel starts ahead of Alonso eh, not quite the thrashing Lewis Hamilton is giving Jenson Button in race finishes (8/4 or 66 percent), but yes generally.
@ Angelina, do you love Sebastien Vettel lol

Angelina, I thought that was the whole point. This is "motor-racing", not "processional racing" or line dancing. Is the racing on Saturday in quali, or on Sunday? I thought Vettel racing hard last weekend was very impressive - even though he was also lucky with the amount of retirements happening in front of him.

In F1 finishing first is rewarded regardless of starting position and fastest lap. In lower formulae, everything is rewarded but ofcourse nobody is going to rewards points for qualifying lower.

Both the rewardig systems sound good but F1 ignores qualifying talent, although qualifying helps in finishing higher.

Even if Vettel wins it...he will not have been the most deserving. Dislike the comment all you want, Vettel fans - but Alonso was by far the better driver, all season long.

All i can say about Seb he has had the best car for the last three years and has done the job in those three years and that's all his team can ask for, and he has shown that Webber is not in his class while breaking records in the Red Bull sling shots, but i do feel sensible F1 fans and pundits will say Vettel's success has been about him driving superior cars compared to his rivals.

And how did you work that out? if Vettel wins the championship despite almost been 50+ points behind at a then he deserves, the main fact that Alonso blew a 50+ lead would make him a choker like he did in 2010

It is true that Vettel has been driving the best car in the last three years at least most of the time but not at all the time so was his team mate so all credit to his driving ability, I am not a Vettel fan/supporter but I don't see anything wrong in what he said, yes the one who wins the championship will be deserving it, I believe that the majority of the negative posts on here in response to his statement doesn't belong to Alonso fans/supporters but are a response from fans/supporters of the two drivers most effected by Vettel's successes namely his team mate and Lulu.
