An other one of the eye-brow man's fan. No wonder why people like you love and support Alonso. Alonso bickers more than any other driver and he lobbies like none other in the paddock.

Oh great. Another washed-up has-been giving their expert opion. Jacques V never acomplished anything. He went backward as his career went on. The title in 1997 was gifted to him. He's just another old "champion" that is intimidated by Seb's stellar young career. These old guys don't like to see Vettel continuing to eclipse more and more records because it makes their achievments less and less relevant. Guys like Lauda, Jackie Stewart, Lulu Hamilton, Alonso himself, and now Jacques V. All of them have had rather foul things to say about the young German. None of their opinions are based on facts, only opionion.

Those old jealous guys base the things they say on their opinion and emotion. The facts and reality show that Seb is a gentleman. But when provoked, he rightfully comes out of his shell and fights back to defend himself. Jacques V says that Vettel loses his composure when "catching up." He also says Seb loses his cool and throws temper tantrums. At the same time he says Fernando is cool, calm and collected.
The final race in 2010 when Seb got his first title sums it all up. Seb fought a long, hard "catch up" all season. When the chips were down he came through and won. Alonso fell apart behind Petrov. And then Alonso threatened the Russian with a closed fist. How's that for blowing your theory out of the water Jacques? Stop being a jealous child.

2 things amazed me on this article:

1-Who in their right mind wastes an article asking what Villenueve's opinion is? The guy is nobody. Probably one of the least deserving champions of all times (along Damon Hill). Since he quit (or got quit) he's been pretending there's interest from F1 teams to have him back... as if!

2-Probably even more amazing but I actually do agree with a lot of what he said there.

Plain stupid.
You mean to say that Alonso 'threatened' to beat Petrov.
Where was he planning to do it? In renault garage? or in Russia? You were on the radio with him?
So finally did he beat him?
Alonso's frustration was because the Renault was clearly much slower and because he couldnt overtake beacuse of the circuits characteristics. 2012 race in Abu Dhabi was the best in the circuits history. All have been snooze-fest.

I have never really minded vettel but, his podium behavior in Abu Dhabi was just childish and immature, pouring champagne on a Coulthard who wasnt exactly impressed and doing that while the star and winner of the race was still speaking in the interview. That was attention seeking behaviour one would expect from a child. Never even mind the swearing, you can swear till your mouth is dry but ethics and professionalism must be upheld.

@SpeedD, even the crowd, no one seemed impressed.
Old JV. Shame I'm sure he still holds a record - for coming from two laps down to win the INDY 500 in 95. Might be a good ambassador for the Texan GP.

@Ptolomy and the rest of you

Anyone who says that Villeneuve was a nobody who never achieved anything are clearly not very intelligent.

In 1995 he won the Indy 500 and the CART championship. Yeah, what a loser.

His first year in F1 was with Williams, then a front running team, and he challenged for the title until the last race.

He then won the championship the following year.

Williams then went downhill and he moved to another team who were uncompetitive.

Does this story sound familiar to any LULU fans out there????

JV was a sensation when he hit F1 and killed his career when he joined a team that has now morphed into the team LULU is now joining.
