@Richard as usual you didn't understood nothing. Yes I started watching F1 in 1997 because I have Sebastian Vettel's age, so I coudn't have the intelligence to unserstood F1 at this time. But is clear that you are older than me and you have watched many more races and season. So you should be the first to miss that F1 of 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 because racing was more exciting and the cars were less reliable. The engine had more imputt than now, it was not just aerodynamics. It was wonderful watching F1 2000, with McLaren faster but less reliable than Ferrari and Ferrari winning both titles. So the fastest car didn't triumph but the best team did. Without Newey F1 would be again a classic, Ferrari vs McLaren. Every race I watches now I curses all of them which changed the rules in 2009. Until 2008 F1 was getting very well.

@Ghog - I agree that JV and Irvine have same ability to say whatever they want without any care as to what the popular opinion is. Sadly there are few drivers who speak so freely.

Not sure what he's Villeneuve is trying to get at. Vettel is young and acts accordingly, Alonso older and more mature. Both are extremely talented, Vettel more so and will prove it by winning the WC this year... probably.
