As for comments made by Hamilton that he doesn't think he will be able to challenge for the title next year or even win races with Mercedes, Rosberg added that the Englishman is just being cautious.

“I think he's leaving space open for something spectacular,” Rosberg explained.

“Anyway, I have learned not to comment on quotes that are reported by newspapers!”

Well done Nico you are not about to be drawn into the F1 media assault against Lewis unlike the Judas Jenson Button.

Methinks Lulu is just setting up a litany of available excuses for failure next year.
We are sure to hear the following:

1/. We are developing the car, and will be competitive soon
2/. I have complete confidence that the car will be quick once we get the setup right
3/. It's all Pirelli's fault

Or variations and combinations of all the above.
It will be a lot of fun watching him squirm all year whilst following Sergio around the track.
He took the money and ran.

Well he's not going to come out and say he made a mistake is he, such a non-story.

Of all the drivers to play the nicely-nice PR game, Rosberg is surely the most conservative.
