what an odd comment, as he hasnt even driven the car yet!
you are right sunny, he just had no other options other than staying with macca, but as he had discussed driving for merc when monaco was on (and merc were actually showing some form), he had really burnt his bridges! mercs subsequent slide backwards must have worried him, and now with zetsche saying that daimler are not going to increase their funding to the team, i think that he must really be concerned.

When Brawn finally comes up with a frontrunner dont be surprised if its Rosberg who will take full advantage of the situation and Hamilton is left behind once again. He is not as good as the biased british media wants to make us believe. Second half of 2010 and the full year 2011 are examples that Hamilton is not in the Vet/Alo league. Hamiltons natural nemesis are rather Button, Massa and Webber while Vet and Alo fighting it out for the title again.

Funny people here McLaren are gutted to lose him and did offer more money to try and retain yet some on here say he had no options yeah right .
And as the other top drivers seem to rate him as being a very good driver im going with there opinion and will wait and see what he is like in next years car as my guess is he will be a lot better than nico and thats not knocking nico just i think lewis is a better racer.

Whatever mclaren's final offer was it must have still been less then what they were paying him before and as he didn't took their offer it means it had a note with it which was none negotiable saying take it or leave it.
