It looks like we have a good new F1 track. Maybe very damn good. Bully for everyone responsible.

Watkins Glen was classic.

Long Beach worked better than it should have.

Indy was awful.

Austin.... well done.

It's great news for F1 fans here in the States. A good, well-liked and exciting circuit will only help draw fans. I'm looking forward to hopefully watching the race live as it happens for once, too. :)

Indy may not have been a great track from the driver's standpoint, but from a spectator's standpoint I dont think it could get any better. I used to run around the ENTIRE track during the race and see a little from EVERY angle and vantage point. I was only in a seat (near the start/finish line) to see the lights go out and to see the checkered flag.
The good thing is, from what I can tell, is that Texas is similar to Indy from a spectator's view. That is IF they will let you run freely around the infield and IF there are tunnels and bridges to cross the track to the outside. If you're fortunate enough to go, don't stay in one place during the race!

Indy may not have been a great track? for me it's the greatest oval track on this planet. not to forget amazing history associated with it. and most amazing for me is, it's the best track on this world when it comes to race car sounds. wow!! :-o
