Lucky to escape reprimand? Hardly. I saw the whole thing live and then later replays... the speed differentials were not that great and there was never a chance of any kind of contact. It was just another of Alonso's recent histrionics over perceived "slights" on the track. Honestly, I am shocked that anyone thought it was deserving of even a second look by the stewards... it was typical out lap positioning all of the drivers seem to do in order to create enough space necessary for their hot lap.

Great performance by Michael, The team are just protecting Rosberg as he is there next year. Lets hope the merc doesnt let Michael down now as it has all year so he can pick up a top 6 finish, would love to see him on the podium again but unlikely!

If the new exhaust has made that much of a difference, they don't look in too bad a shape for next year. It makes sense why Schumi was really angry at the cameraman trying to get shots of the back of the Merc during Practice. He obviously thinks its an important step forward.

Schumi thrashed Rosberg and now Merc are just trying to make excuses for him

They will soon realise that they got rid of the WRONG driver for next year!

Go on Schumi, get a podium!

What they need to get rid off, is the team @ Brackley. They've been underperforming for little over a decade now, despite having one of the biggest budgets for most of that time. Yes they were pretty decent for a while when they were running that double fuel tank and there was the year with Brawn and his diffuser but other than that they've built cars that were mediocre at best, terrible at worst (the earth dream Honda car for instance).

I don't know if it's the people or the windtunnel or whatever, but they need to change something there...
