F1 » Ferrari 'planning Massa gearbox change'?

Ferrari have confirmed that they are analysing whether to change the gearbox in Felipe Massa's car due to an 'unspecified problem', which could see Massa drop five grid positions.

If Ferrari do this then Red Bull should just do the same with Webber's. Definitely against the spirit of competition but I am extremely dubious as to whether Massa's gearbox is faulty, and it would serve them right if there is nothing wrong with it.

Alonso would go up to 6th, but crucially would be back on the dirty side of the grid. Take that Ferrari!

Strategically sound using Ferrari logic. Puts Massa behind Fernando, moves Fernando from the dirty side 8th grid slot to the cleaner 7th slot, and moves Massa to the clean side as well in 11th. The real issue is whether that means anything. Button claims the right side is not any better, that there is no rubber anywhere on the grid, so if Ferrari does this, and the grip is no different, they just threw Massa under the bus for no gain, and potentially a loss of WCC points at the end of the day.
