Ok they want to move Alonso on the fast part of the track, Anything to please ????

I thought all of these kinds of changes had to have real reasons, not just fake ones to improve Ann under performingdrivers position.

If Ferrari do this then Red Bull should just do the same with Webber's. Definitely against the spirit of competition but I am extremely dubious as to whether Massa's gearbox is faulty, and it would serve them right if there is nothing wrong with it.

Alonso would go up to 6th, but crucially would be back on the dirty side of the grid. Take that Ferrari!

massa needs a new gearbox because he as out qualified alonso.nothing wrong with gearbox but it moves alonso up the grid...if alonso as any morrals he would want to move up the grid with out massa being shafted....hope to god vetel wraps title up this weekend ...i hate the thought of alonso winning it..hope he never wins another title...hope he never wins one at ferrari...hes half the driver schumacher was

Strategically sound using Ferrari logic. Puts Massa behind Fernando, moves Fernando from the dirty side 8th grid slot to the cleaner 7th slot, and moves Massa to the clean side as well in 11th. The real issue is whether that means anything. Button claims the right side is not any better, that there is no rubber anywhere on the grid, so if Ferrari does this, and the grip is no different, they just threw Massa under the bus for no gain, and potentially a loss of WCC points at the end of the day.

If the rules allow this... WHY NOT? For me, moves like this make racing more interesting. Team orders and 'behind the curtain' politics have always been a part of the racing world.
