F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Which star earned his stripes in USGP?

Lewis Hamilton won, Sebastian Vettel clinched constructors' honours for Red Bull and Fernando Alonso prolonged the drivers' championship battle - but were they the stand-out performances in Austin?

Jose, Interesting to hear you think Lulu is softly spoken and educated, since the "man" himself seems to think he's a hard mofo, not being from the hood (or Stevenage) I have no idea what that means but I didn't think it was softly spoken and educated.

Rob, so Vettel winning from pole would have been a dull walk in the park, but Lulu starting from second and passing him makes it an epic race? How strange. Anyway glad you both enjoyed your weekend.

Who was the star?...the track of course!! I never thought i'd see it happen but that track was amazing and hopefully it only gets better with more running in .Almost brought a tear to my eye. Being an F1 fan in the US is a tough thing. Indy was fun for a while, but we all know it was a compromise at best.It Thank god its a quick flight from NY to TX .Bring me more please! Moto GP, ,V8's,GT1 series?? I'll take it....Oh and Lewis ,Seb , Alonso and the rest did an awesome job hanging on to the cars with a new surface

Tavo Hellmund ... He chose the location Austin and convinced Bernie to come. Even the circuit track was his design. The run up the hill to turn 1, the esses, incorporating segments from famous F1 tracks were all his idea. I hear TV pundits wrongfully giving the credit to Herman Tilke which is a shame..

@Jose I would have loved to have been there at the track, but it's too far to drive and I won't subject myself to TSA groping to fly. Besides, I can make popcorn if I watch it at home.

Good race, great track, stonking drive from Lulu.
But I'm appalled at the almost total lack of coverage over here, absolutely nothing about it this morning on the drive time radio news 1/2 hr cycle.
I tried watching a bit of the FP on Speed, but turned it off PDQ once I realized that the announcers were drunk. Or Stupid. Or Both.
Thanks to Knighty, I had the sky feed a little later on.

So bottom line, 400 million dollars buys you nothing as far as media coverage in nascrap dominated US/Canada. Sad but true.
