Lewis Hamilton won, Sebastian Vettel clinched constructors' honours for Red Bull and Fernando Alonso prolonged the drivers' championship battle - but were they the stand-out performances in Austin?

The real star(s)? COTA and Austin. The whole weekend, both on and off the track was absolutely brilliant. Organisation everywhere spot-on. All those doubters who poured scorn on this project have been proved totally wrong. Live, the action was non-stop, and at our vantage point for the race (turn 9) superb. Didn't need to be in a grandstand either. One of the best races I have watched (live) for a ong, long, time.

(NB - please don't "disagree" unless you, too, were there.)
