Lewis can only hope that Mercedes punted on this years development to focus on next years as Merc seems to have been running backwards in the last half of the year.

I hope I am proved wrong but I think that next year Hamilton will not have a car that is capable of winning the world championship and McLaren will not have a driver capable of winning the world championship.

Classy response from Ron, as expected. Sad to see LH go but given the paycheck, the chance to be a brand name beyond the limited albeit profitable world of F1 and the chance to do two titles in two different teams, something that Vettel is being severely criticized about (unfairly imo) I think it may be the right move. I disagree that the move to Mercedes was where he should have gone, it should have been Ferrari or RB because imo why go anywhere else if not at MCL. I hope it all works out for him and he gets another title. But TBH I worry that his motivation is not as strong as it was before. Perhaps with less off-track commitments he can refocus, but I wonder ig he will be like DE Jr in NASCRAP, market himself and win nil.

@LewisMerc/IndyCar2007, WTH do you mean by Davison being nothing more than 'running over ground-hogs'?

I see you forget his great achievements in the Le Mans Series/Races, but that's another story.

indycar. first of all, ant has done more in f1 and racing than you or me, so i respect his comments.

secondly, i have already pointed out that seb applauded lulu at the end, and was laughing and joking with him, but you are the one who has been moaning about what seb said on a delayed radio message. have i once said that lulu did anything wrong or did not deserve the win? NO.
i did say that it was a good race between two equal competitors.

@Bryan G
What you said is not all fact.
Button has already won a WDC and is obviously capable. Whatever you think of McLaren, they would not employ him if they didn't think he was capable. Pity you can't ask Rubens how good Jenson is, or Jacques Villeneuve.....

hrc. did i say that lulu ht seb? no, i said that lulu came within inches of seb and that is a FACT. it was said in a jocular fashion. now, if he HAD hit seb, i might have not been so jocular. the tussle was good, clean and fair.

by the way,what is your contribution to the thread?

Button is indeed a good driver but not consistent enough to regularly beat the likes of Vettel,Alonso or Hamilton. As I stated I would like to be proved wrong.He deservedly became world champion driving a car which for the first part of the season was technically superior to all the others.
