I'd happily take Alonso winning.. just out of sympathy for all Spaniards on the continent. It's not like they really have much else to shout about with an economy and employment prospects as dire as they are in Spain.

What team hasn't flaunted the rules or bent them? Double diffusers, within the rules but people didn't like it.
OR how about option 13? FIA President swapping pole position around on Senna? Given the option Horner would have done the same thing, rose tinted glasses off. Did they break the rules? No. Would any other team have done it in same circumstances? Yes.

You can't cheat by using the rules and regulations to your advantage, everyone does it, F ducts, Double Diffusers, all taking advantage of the rules.

Everyone seems to be missing the point that Alonso has somehow managed to keep a poor car at the front most of the year, and if it wasn't for idiots like Grosjean etc smashing into people at the start, he would have probably had this wrapped up by now.

I see a wet race, and many cars crashing. I see red car driven by someone in a blue helmet in the lead. I see a rain shower near the end, and I see many cars come in, but not the black and red car driven by the German, it stays out, and is leading by a long, long way. But its on dry tyres, and I see the Red car cruise past into the lead. A black car follows. Meanwhile a blue car driven by a fair-skinned man battles with a silver car driven by a dark-skinned man. The blue car needs to get past the silver car, but it isn't happening, and all looks lost for the fair-skinned man. As the red car crosses the finishing line, it looks like the driver is champion, and his team erupts in celebration. But wait! I see the red and black car struggling on dry tyres, and I see the silver car AND the blue car swoop by on the final corner, and the fair skinned driver takes the championship! God bless the law of Deja Vu.....

Translated to plain English

I believe with the aid of Ferrari International Assistance and by stabbing Massa in the back a few more times we have a chance of Alonso winning
