I was at the races and I saw Hamilton keep the pressure on Vettel, till the got into lap traffic,Vettel couldn't handle the back markers and got caught up in them Hamilton closed the gap to less than a second and made the move Vettel tried to defend and he actually moved twice.. look at the replay.Hamilton tried to go underneath Vettel blocked he started to go around,Vettel moved right a lil but Hamilton was already executing the pass. Hamilton went thru smooth Vettel sorta cut the corner shorter than his normal turn..But when Hamilton ran into lap traffic he dealt with them with ease and Vettel couldn't capitalize off of the same scenario. Hamilton handles pressure much better than Vettel.

To all those head in the sand people who would vomit up any kind of sick rubbish to belittle anything that Lewis does . Keep on with you hatred because Lewis will respond to you where it counts . On the track . If the McLaren is the the best car on the grid then what's happening with Button then . Your comments does more harm to Button than to Lewis and neither of them deserve some of the derogatory comments some people have posted . As for Lewis making a mistake going to Mercedes . Not at all .
He will win the title for Mercedes . And i wouldn't be surprised if he did it in the first year but certainly year two. Hope those concerned are hungry because there will be a lot of words to eat .

I think that Lewis may be the best driver when there is nothing to lose and he does not have the pressure of a title fight to worry about. When he is in the title fight and the pressure is high he is at his weakest. We have seen him crack under pressure numerous times. I think that Vettel and Alonso can handle that type of stress better.

Lewis says he likes it in America . Well if i was him i would live there . At least they appreciate their sports people there . Regardless of their skin colour . Not saying it's the most perfect place on earth but he would be a hero there if he was American . Some people should be ashamed . But i guess if they cannot show appreciation then compassion has no chance .

@Mark you would of been right before this season but Lewis has handled things much better this year . Well on the track anyway . As for Vettal whenever he has the slightest hint of anything not been right he is on the radio for the team to DO SOMETHING . Also drivers have to learn to deal with back markers and not just rely on someone to pluck them off the track as Vettal seems to expect . Schummy never had any of that he just dealt with them . And anyone else he fancied getting past . Yes i know about his team mates.

@locks. I'm anti Hamilton and he showed us all why he is rated so high. He showed pressure issues this year. He has done what he is paid for, people should leave the bad behind for now until it comes around again. Just ignore because the weaknesses are many.
In my opinion Hamilton has showed wat he is capable of, why can't he show these performances at least 80% of the time. This is one of his issues, the others being weakness under pressure and bringing personal problems into the racing.
In fairness we hoping he has overcome such issues.

Lol mark what a rubbish comment. LH cracking under pressure? Did you watch this year's races. LH didnt make 1 single mistake all year and he extracted the absolute maximum of that rubbish mclaren. Yes i said rubbish. Sure it was the fastest car on some tracks but the reliability problems of maca is nothing sort of embarrassing. It was hilarious watching the technical problems race after race after race. No wonder why LH left. Mclaren did the same with Kimi. Joke team. No way JB or Perez will be wc with them.

@noobie - rubbish? I thought it was actually very complimentary. He isn't exactly in the title fight this year so this season cannot be used to disprove my statement. The year that he won his only title he had most of his errors in the final part of that season. The pattern is there for all to see. At least he won't have to worry about being in a title fight anytime soon in that Merc. Hopefully for him he gets another win in Brazil because it may be his last.

Locks,

Your comment re the US appreciating their sports stars is spot on. I'm not a Hamilton fan but still admire, respect, and compliment his driving. The respect for drivers/riders shown on this forum is appalling.

Your comment about the US and the colour of his skin, well, amongst true sports fans I think you are right, but as a general comment about the southern States, perhaps that is a whole other debate!
