No Grip Button,

Were you one of the guys that was stating how Button was going to get steam rollered by Hamilton? Funny that, it didn't quite work out that way did it.

I don't particularly have favourites so c'mon everyone give all these great drivers some respect. It is so easy to twist their words from your armchair, but not a single one of you could get anywhere near what they achieve week in week out.

Cassius,

I'm sure Button will appreciate your input. After a lifetime of racing he may not have spotted the obvious shortcomings that you are pointing out.

I would also like to point out, if I may be so bold, a minor error in your post. Button has in fact already won a World Championship.

@oldtimer

Yes, without Lewis McLaren will not even get anywhere near a win.

I suppose you are right. Over the last 3 years Hamilton is the only McLaren driver to win a race isn't he?

Oh, hang on...

I thought that JB's candid comments in the Sky Post-Race show were informative. JB is massively looking forward to being the undisputed #1 Driver at Macca, which, reading between the lines, implies that he wasn't having a lot of fun with ol' Lulu kicking around the garage. He was somewhat condescending toward Perez, as was Whitmarsh, but it seems as if both Macca and JB want to make sure that Perez knows his place, a'la Massa.
I was REALLY fascinated by Ted's interview with Ron Dennis, there is some real bitterness there toward Lulu, confirmed by Brundle who counts Ron as a "good friend".
Need a story on that one Crash..

Everyone seems to have the idea that Perez, or McLaren in general, are goimg to struggle. And it seems like everyone is throwing Checo out of the hunt already.

WELL, WELL. Let's go through history, shall we? Didn't a certain Canadian do one better than his father by winning the title AND outclassing Michael Schumacher in his second year in F1? Didn't a certain British man win for McLaren in his second season?

And if those facts arn't good enough, Mr Schumacher won his first title in his third FULL year (he was more of a replacing driver in 91) which ironically Checo will be in his third year next year?

Don't count Checo out yet guys!

JB is a top driver and Perez will find it hard to deal with this smooth and intelligent driver who will deliver a top drive when the car is perfect and we must remember that since post 2009 Button has become an awesome driver with a great 2011 season with him runner up to the mighty Vettel, and Perez must realise that it would take driver of immense talent to beat Jenson in the same car i cant see anyone doing that i think.

When you look at Lewis, Perez and Hulkenburg since they signed for a new team, both the Hulk and Lewis has showed sign of not letting pressure getting to them but Perez have disappeared off planet F1, I am impressed with Hulkenburg who getting more out of the force India, this brings me back to Paul DiResta who I feel is extremely overrated or is it not the same Force India the hulk is driving.... I think McLaren have signed the wrong driver

@richard, of couse Jacques is not as great as his father! I was trying to back up my point that you can't just throw someone out of a championship because the driver is inexperianced. I'm sure that if Gilles lived, he would have a number of titles
