Jenson Button: I'd love to have a clean weekend, a trouble-free qualifying and then have a good run at scoring some strong points on Sunday

Can the Hamilton fanboys please answer me this?

From day 1, you were all telling us that Button was crap and that Hamilton was going to SMASH him. Now, 3 years later Hamilton has scored only 10 more points than Button - 10 POINTS! He has also only scored 3 more wins that Button, just 3.

Along with that, he had his ass handed to him by Button in 2011 - losing to him by 43 points! The first time a team mate has ever beat Hamilton and, to date, the largest winning margin that one McLaren driver has beaten the other during a season
(apart from the Kova years).

You also tell everyone time and time again that Button is a crap midfield driver who only won the WDC by luck. Yet, in this thread, you declare to the world that Hamilton is the best there is because he has beaten 2 WDC's - one of them twice.

Right, so now Button is a WDC worthy of bragging about beating????

@bob I think Button takes a lot of flack because he spent to many years at Williams,BAR,Renault Brawn etc.. not really comparing that well against team mates such as Ralf, Trulli, Fisichella, Rubens.

He just never stood out as WOW this guy is seriously quick. Same as in F3 when he finished 3rd behind such great talents as Luciano Burti and Marc Hynes.

Hamilton on the other hand Dominated every junior category on the way to f1, FRenault, F3, GP2 and you could see there was something special about the guy even before he matched Alonso in his Rookie year.

Whilst Button is a good driver he will never be a great one.

"...WDC points dont tell the true story..."

What does then?

Oh, that's right, the Hamilton fanboy delusional outlook on life tells the true story doesn't it.

bob Admit it man JB's just not as quick as LH!!
Beaten on points, Wins, Poles everything in fact.

You Button boys always harp on about the fact well he bit LH on points in 2011 But thats ALL he's ever done! and even that year he didnt beat him on poles or wins.

Solid number 2 driver is all he ever has and will be
accept it

bob. i am neither a button fan nor a lulu fan, but i agree that consistency is buttons forte. dont forget, the 27 points you mention is basically ONE race win only.
consistency can pay off. wasnt it keke who won the wdc in a superior car but with only ONE win in the whole season?

however, lulu seems to attract fanboys who will always try to big him up against any other driver. the simple fact is that he failed to live up to the "new messiah" tag that was given to him by some in 2007. remember comments such as he was going to eclipse schumi and break every record in the book. i am still waiting!
but i doubt that button will ever be wdc again. he lucked in to a drive in a rule bending honda car, when brawn decided to keep him on, despite the fact that he was actually out of a drive.

richard Keke did indeed win the championship in 1982 with one win but it was most definately not in the superior car. Ferrari, Renault and Brabham were all much faster with their turbo cars against the Williams DFV.

In fact Keke reminds me very much of LH in the fact that he would wring the neck of an inferior car to get results that his team mates just could not do.
