What next for Kobayashi, then? Force India hopefully? He isn't far off Perez speed- and points-wise, so it would be a crying shame if he's knocked out of F1...

Indeed, as was to be expected. Too bad Kobayashi has to go, but then again, so would the sponsor.
On the other hand, great to see Frijns is picked up by Sauber as test/reserve driver. Hope he can drive a few Fridays and maybe get a seat in another class (GP2/Dtm) to keep his skills sharp.

Sauber can say all they want that it's about talent and not sponsorship money, but I don't think anyone believes it. Will be very surprised if Hulkenberg doesn't just walk all over him in 2013.

opinions are interesting
what's the problem? to get a pilot's seat who is really talented?
if Telmex support such the pilot who untalented and pushes the F1 (for example Teixiera), I understand that you do not like it...
Kobayashi got 3 years, supported, given the opportunity, and didn't show so much....

Kobayashi also received the opportunity from Toyota, why it's wrong??????

"Will be very surprised if Hulkenberg doesn't just walk all over him in 2013"

have you thought that?
Hulkenberg GP2 champion he spent 2 years in Formula 1! 1 year test role on Fridays
Gutierrez GP2 3rd and that's all

so? yes I think Hulkenberg walk over him it would be very bad for Hulkenberg if not defeats Gutierrez

BUT BELEIVE THAT Hulkenberg would walk over Kobayashi too!

I don't see how you back up your accusation of Hulkenberg be better than Kobayashi in F1. In 2010, Williams had the better car than Sauber, Kobayashi finished 12th and Hulkenberg 14th. This season the cars are pretty equal I'd say, maybe Sauber just edge it on pure speed but Force India is more consistent, but Kobayashi with a race to go is 11th and a podium to his name, Hulkenberg 12th. I agree Hulkenberg is a good driver but Kobayashi has bettered him since they've entered F1. What I will say is Sauber would of had one hell of a team with Kobayashi and Hulkenberg.

The Force India is faster than the Sauber on most tracks. Always has been since BMW left Sauber.

Yet Kobayashi has out performed the FI drivers. Keep in mind Kobayshi has more Non-DRS overtake replays and reels than most F1 teams these days...

Beaten by both Valsechi and Razia in GP2(both of which are without F1 driver for 2013)but Gutierrez still manages to get an F1 drive due to money!

...and with Pic being signed for Caterham, F1 is becoming a joke!

F1 is finished for me.
