Lewis is slower than his teammate according to the speed trap but is eight tenths quicker than his teammate, WOW.

And for those who thinks Lewis will be driving a Mercs like the 2012 one have not been listening to what Brawn has been saying. They are at this moment in time working on the 2013 car and gave up on trying to develop the 2012 car as the car was designed around their version of the DDRS and it was deemed by Mercedes unwise to try and rectify the 2012 Mercs due to it being a strain on resources so people who think Lewis will be driving a dog car in 2013 are going to be very disapointed.

If not for Hamilton's performance, people would think the 2012 McLaren is slower than the Ferrari. Next year well finally know how good the Mercedes is (Rosberg probably isn't as good as Button, so Hamilton's performance gap over his teammate should be even larger.)

Now McLaren's future... that looks really bleak right now.

It will certainly be interesting to see what people find to spew out about Lewis next year when they see the Mercedes on the front row . I am confident it will happen . Maybe not first or even second race but it will happen . Remember when the same people thought he would be steam rollered by Alonso ? Well that didn't happen and Alonso's bitching gave the title to Raikonen .

First posters right, why all of a sudden are merc going to build a car? They've had 3years and are less c
Competitive then they were in 10..Lewis won't win for a while anyone thinking he will, will be very disappointed

The rules for next year will be even tighter. Ross has already said that further loopholes will be closed. That will make the field comeback to Merc somewhat. Add a few improvements and they get closer to the front end.
