Poor Massa, if he out-qualifies Alonso he can expect another gearbox issue. He may as well just qualify behind Alonso and follow him around because he certainly won't be allowed to finish in front of him.

Yes poor Massa, after several poor performing seasons from Massa he finally appears to have his mojo back and is finally delivering results again on track.

However, no doubt he will be expected to conceed if he is ahead of his team mate this weekend-at his home GP.

I guess the main thing is that Massa is fully aware of the situation and will help Alonso, but more important still, Massa has unlocked his previous form.

Massa's only hope is to out qualify Vettel. There's no way Ferrari would drop him if that happened cause it would mean he would have a good chance to hold Vettel and help Alonso.

Also, if I'm Vettel, and Felipe is the car in front/side on the first corner, I'd let it go... there's no reason to fight for a position against your rival's team mate.

Felipe is a genuine good guy but that would be a massive chance to take.

Ferrari don't deserve 2nd in the constructor's championship.

At least they shouldn't penalise their second driver if the constructor's is so important to them.

Go McLaren!

No. I've only followed F1 since 1966 though. I was merely empathising with Massa's plight. He has no incentive to do his best. I understand the team's perspective but I still feel sorry for the situation Massa has found himself in.

In the "old" days the number 1 driver would take over the number 2 driver's car if he encountered problems.

If I were Felipe, I'd ask the FIA for the same protection that they provided Alonso in 2007 against sabotage...

THAT would cause a whole new case of the Fanboi Squidgets...

Objective - if Massa has produced such performances at the start of 2012, maybe he might not be doing this to Alonso/Ferrari now. :-)

Cknopp - protection to Massa from FIA? Then Massa can sit at home with the protection in hand :-)
