What do Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso have to do to be crowned champion in F1 2012?

Has to be a Vettel DNF and Alonso finishing on the podium and theres a whole queue of people in front of Alonso for 3th place.
I am presuming that both McLarens will finish the race which may be a little hopeful.

Vettel will not make it through the first corner.

Ferrari's wet weather strategy will see Alonso make his way through the field, as Vettel agonises in the pits, getting behind LH onto the final lap. LH poor tyre protection sees Alonso breeze past him in the final turn to take the win and the WDC.

Some sad people making comments sabout Felipe rear ending Vetel. Lol if that does happen. IMO it will probably be somebody else, I would think that WOULDNT be part of Ferraris game plan becasue they want to gain max constructors points

I forsee a Hamilton/Button clash that ends with both in a DNF.

Button cannot allow the last taste of Hamilton at McLaren being a win, so he will go for it all, regardless if it causes a double DNF situation.

Fernando is displaying the body language of somebody who knows he won't win the title but is completely comfortable knowing he couldn't have done any more.
He is the "peoples" champion this year whatever the outcome of the race.
Hope Vettel lands at Ferrari in 2014 so we can see who's actually best.

Alonso the peoples champion your having a laugh now, if your A spanish person maybe. I think it is highly unlikely that Vettel will go to Ferrari whilst Alonso is there, I think that would hold true for any top driver, if Vettel manages three in a row and follows that with another strong year next year then why would he want to leave Red Bull? Top car designer in Adrian Newey and the team have plenty of money to keep up with the other teams. Ferrari hate the idea of the new v6 turbo engines. It could be anyones in 2014 with massive changes engine wise.

I don't understand the mentality of so-called F1 fans on this site. Hoping for crashes and talking about drivers taking other drivers out so the driver they like can win the championship is just plain sick and shows that they are not fans of the sport.

People go on about Vettel being lucky to have the fastest car but for a lot of the season McLarens have shown more pace. Is it better to have the most reliable car like the Ferrari? Is Alonso lucky to have such a reliable car and such an accommodating number 2 driver?

I hope for a clean race with no incidents and may the best man win.
