odd! when webber missed the weight check, he was reprimanded. but when maldo misses it, he is penalised by 10 places?????????????

it may be his third reprimand but is hardly serious enough to warrant such a penalty. the commentators even said that the call in was at an odd time in quali, and due to position could easily have been missed.

Richard. Read the article, he recieved the penalty for having 3 reprimands. The rules changed this year I believe to state that after 3 reprimands a driver would recieve a 10 place grid drop.
No conspiracy here. Just the FIA enforcing the rules. Move along people.

matt. read my comment. i know that it is his third reprimand, but that does not excuse the fact that a 10 place drop is still over the top. webber also had a couple of reprimands. it is different if your reprimand is for bad driving like grosjeans. and wasnt the three strikes "rule" brought in AFTER maldos earlier misdemeanours?

The 10 place grid drop is a blanket rule I believe? Article 18.2 or something. So I wouldn't say it's harsh. Hasn't Webber only had 1/2 over this season? Yeah they brought it in in May. But still rules are rules and all that. If he wasn't and one of the other teams picked up on it someone would more than likely complain about it, and they have to be seen to be fair. Seen at least. :P

"It would be cool if Massas gearbox broke at the start and Alonso rear-ended him.
