To Lotus: you have a man with no skills now vis., Grosjean...sign Kobay and he will give Kimi a run for the money...Sauber has blown it and now really only has one competitive driver, Hulk... even Gut admits he is not ready yet Sauber needs the bucks bc Bernie has set up this situation where the teams just dont have enough bucks so they have to supplement with lousy drivers that do have outside sponsorshi...sad and pathetic for the pinacle of motorsports...the best racing talent should be racing...what we have on the grid is no talent +$$$...as a fan I am disgusted!

I think Kobayashi should get cockpit from decent team and no financial backing require.
I still believe him he is the man who can always deliver what team was expected from its driver.
He deserve car from Lotus and Williams in 2013 but realistically not easy. I believe he is talking to Force India because the only one team can expect one seat for uncertain current F1 drivers. If he was signed by Lotus and then it'll be fantastic pair on grid in 2013.
Williams will retain Maldonado and Senna because their sponsor is too big. Lotus will resign Grojean for sure regardless of whatever peoples calling name.
For Kobayashi, chances are slim but good try. Hopefully he will get cockpit for 2013.

@ KPerez - you are right on so many levels. Your right about BE messing the teams about, bringing in pay drivers so he makes a cut on the backside and as much as I like Grosjean (he is fast) Kamui is much better and wont keep smashing the car up. I hope its Lotus

That race summed up Kobayashi very well. Amazing overtakes, guts or glory racing, difficulty in maintaining his tyres and dropping off the pace in the middle part of the race and punted off at no fault of his own. If he doesn't stay in F1 but the likes of Grosjean do, there is no justice.

He had to have a go at overtaking Schumacher, it didn't work out because Schumi wasn't going to budge.

However he tango'd with Alonso and Vettel cleanly, which shows you he has more skill than all those moaning he can't overtake without crashing or touching others.

Really hope he gets a seat for next year. He is one of the most entertaining drivers in F1.

Although I shall now call him 'Leroy'. Thanks for that David Croft!

At this point, Lotus needs to match Kobayashi to Kimi. So that Kimi is pushed to do better. Grojean just keeps DNFing and crashing out. Wasting time and money and making Lotus look bad. Indirectly, it doesn't challenge Kimi to do better when his teammate is so ****ty.

If 2013 has Kimi and Kamui, they would be a scary team to race against in the Top-Mid field.
