F1 » Vettel is triple champion as Button wins Brazil

A dramatic, thrilling and wholly unpredictable Brazilian Grand Prix kept the title and the race win in doubt almost to the very end of 71 sodden laps at Interlagos.

Vettel won this title without being the qualifying king, that honor went to Lewis Hamilton. Alonso missed out again on the final day, they could do no more than finish runners up in both championships with a car that was'nt really up to the task of beating Red Bull or McLaren when those teams ran straight forward race weekends, I feel another Ferrari re-shuffle on the horizon. Third in the standings for the 'comeback king' Kimi Raikkonen, 'Mr 100 Percent'. Awesome season, roll on Australia 2013.

Well, Vettel takes the trophy, but the true champion is definitely Alonso! The man who did unbelievable, impossible things with his car. Vettel - a title holder, Alonso - a legend, an F1 great!

I can't help but think there are at least 5 drivers who would have won the last 3 championships driving a RedBull. That's Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, Button and Raikkonen, probably Robert Kubica as well.

And I can't help but think that if Vettel was driving a Ferrari this year, he would have been nowhere near the WDC title.

Button, superb.
Vettel, congrats.
Alonso, what more could he have done?
Petrov, earned his time 16 mln in the last lap.
Hulkenberg, great drive, untilllll...

Lotus, too bad they end '12 on a low.

Lots of bitterness amongst you all already, shameful stuff just grow up a bit.

Here's some well done's from me

Well done LH and JB for being the best drivers on the day, hard luck LH but bravo JB
Well done SV for pushing even when you didn't have to
Well done FA for doing as much as you can
Well done MS for letting SV past, probably the first soft pass MS has allowed in his whole career, I would have done the same for a compatriot.
Well don MS also for being genuinely pleased for SV at the end even if it did look like it was going to get homoerotic for a while
Well done FM for being a team player and still a contender
Well done Brasil for giving giant tin-openers to the podium
