A very well deserved victory in the driver's championship! A great battle with fate Seb. You can rest now knowing you are in a special class of driver's that include ONLY Fangio, Michael Schumacher, and YOU!

On the last race of 2010 all team leaders entered their vote (secret) on who was the best driver. Vettel, that had just won his first championsnhip, got 2 votes. Lewis Hamilton got one vote and Fernando Alonso got NINE votes. Last year Red Bull REFUSED to enter the same ballot. All gentlemen and women in this blogg forgive me but I think that team managers know more(although a little bit) about Formula One than you.

US FAn . You just made us all understand the genius you are. In fact Alonso was VERY lucky when a stupid french almost killed him in the first corner of SPA.Vettel got away in the mess and gained a lot of places. In MONACO Vettel cutted the first corner and gained 4 places but was not penalised because he did it to avoid the accident. That is not luck, of course. But, if only Lewis did not have that problem in Singapour, Vettel would have not be champion today.

Peter, why don't we all do the same thing and score the drivers of the season, should be interesting...

for me it's

Alonso 10/10 - Flawless performance all season in a car that has never been the fastest. As I said earlier it may be the best championship drive that I've ever seen.

Vettel 9/10 - Driven really well, had a clear car advantage in recent races but proved his credentials as a great F1 driver at Abu Dhabi and Brazil when the pressure was on.

Kimi 8/10 - Fantastic consistency.

Lulu 7/10 - Too timid at the start of the season, some good races near the end.

Button 6/10 - Fairly dull season, only 2 points behind his team mate so pretty close.

cry Marco cry, I can understand your Spanish crying, it should not be easy for you and your folks to witness the victory of a real sportsman like Vettel against the dirty tricks, oops! sorry, the team orders from Ferrari and in which Alonso used to win races and championships.

Not even the money of Santander, if there still any, can buy Alonso another championship.

Vettel is the truly and deserving 2012 F1 Champion, the youngest 3 times F1 Champion. nuff said...

I'm not Vets biggest fan, but I do believe we are witnessing something very special with him. Makes me proud to be alive to witness it.
