Come on please are you really going to bring the Brawn era up??

The Brawn era in which they had a very controversial rear diffuser.

Go back to the 2009 season and look at how many races JB won in the first half of the season and then look at how many he won in the second half of the season after the other teams had implemented the same diffuser system.

And the setting up of the car had nothing to do with Barrichello and his many many years of experience?!?

Like I said before luckiest driver on the grid.

@ Draco I can't believe you're bringing up the Brawn era. Believe me he won't. Next year "No Grip" will be exposed for the fraud he is. It will be be a rough year for old JB.

Basically, you (like me) know absolutely nothing about who contributes what inside these teams.

However, if you just think about it logically...

One thing that simply cannot be disputed is that JB is more intelligent than Lewis. I suspect that this ordinarily translates into a driver capable of giving more intelligent feedback to the team.

Also, my impression of Lewis is that he falls into the 'get in and drive' category - hence his amazing one lap pace and ability to drive around problems.

JB on the other hand needs things to be perfect, and is therefore more likely to be the one focusing on set up.

It might become more apparent next year, I'll give you that. But I wouldn't be so confident that your boy will be the guiding force at Merc that you think he will be.

Oh God, the anti Button brigade are trolling around again. You see what you want to see, hear what you want to hear, etc. You don't drive for Williams, Benetton, Renault, BAR, Honda, Brawn & Mclaren just by luck. People that run these teams know what's going on and they don't employ muppets. The stark reality for all the Mclaren fan-boys is that Lewis threw away two championships in his time at Mclaren. In 2007, some rookie errors (pit-lane China?), and in 2010 when he started throwing himself at Massa. He had the car to win the title! Button has had his share of bad luck just like everybody else (Korea? Silverstone 2011?). Get a grip!
