F1 » Vettel: 'Everything that could go wrong, did'

Winning his third title was no easy walk in the park for Sebastian Vettel, who admitted that nearly everything that could have gone wrong for the team did so during the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix.

rt. there is a great photo on f1 fanatic. it shows sebs car facing the wrong way, and sennas front tyre sitting on top of sebs RIGHT hand rear wheel, which is totally compressed. whatever about the bad damage on the LEFT hand side, he was extremely lucky that the RIGHT hand side was not damaged. or possibly it was and he drove around it?

newey says they turned down engine power to avoid damaged exhaust overheating, yet seb was still able to put in fastest lap after fastest lap.

Quite clearly it is you who is smoking.

You keep going on about Vettel being on the dry line - this is irrelevant.

Senna had the INSIDE line (the only line that matters), didn't lose control at all and didn't slide into anyone. He was taking the corner and Vettel swept in from out wide across the apex, hitting Senna. Senna was never out of control of his car. Vettel had lost the corner and simply didn't look in his mirrors.

It's no different to Hamilton vs Massa in India last year, only at slower speeds. Hamilton stuck it up the inside, Massa cut across the apex and hit Hamilton. Penalty against Massa.

And before you go there, forget it. I'm NOT an Alonso fan AT ALL.

Don't have any problems with Seb and think he did well to claim his 3rd WDC.

But there's 2 things I can't stand in F1 - stewards inconsistency and fanboy fanaticism!

Quite clearly you didn't actually see the race or any replays, so go to youtube and search for
'Vettel crash with Senna in Brazil GP 2012'.

You'll notice that the entire rest of the field managed to get through that corner side by side.

You'll also notice from on board with Vettel, going into the corner he is well outside the force india until the apex where he ends up directly behind it. Unfortunately for him, Senna was already there.

You'll also notice that Senna was all but alongside him when they Vettel ran into him, not really only by his back wheel.

Vettel's fault 100%

I think as far as 'being lucky' is concerned,I think both Alonso & Vettel had near equal amount of it..on one side there was questionable quali in suzuka and on the other such joke of penalties given w/o even thinking through a lap!
Fernando may whine saying Seb had a better car underneath but then Seb did not have Massa as a teammate! Webber was rarely particularly helping seb, and understandably so

gosh just wish Stewards are the people who are not blind and have their brains in place...for once?!!
