F1 » Vettel: 'Everything that could go wrong, did'

Winning his third title was no easy walk in the park for Sebastian Vettel, who admitted that nearly everything that could have gone wrong for the team did so during the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Yesterday's incident is similar to the opening lap in Malaysia when Grojean tapped Schummy which made him spin - No penalty

Someone collided with Perez in the opening lap in Catalunya - No penalty

They were contact at the opening lap of Germany, Singapore, Indian, Korean, Abu Dhabi, US etc

Funny how the Vettel fans say that there are no team orders at Redbull. When they say Webber box box box when Vettel is right behind him, that's just casual. When they make Webber stop too soon to test the tyres before Vettel has to stop, that's not a team effort from Webber. When they say Webber that he doesn't have enough fuel, casually when Vettel is behind or Webber is too close behind Vettel and going faster, that's just casual. When The Kers doesn't work at the start, only happens to Webber, of course it's not to protect Vettel.

@bob "Senna had the INSIDE line (the only line that matters)"

So you're telling me that if diver A takes an inside line he automatically gets the right of way and driver B has to move to avoid him, even if driver A is ahead of driver B and is on the racing line?

Some of the people here need to learn the sport before they make remarks on it.

@ Bob you turd whatever ur still yelling its all BullSh!t, Yellow Flag pass??? it was an Orange Yellow Flag indicating the track is slippery but doesnt force drivers to stay behind or not overtaking...if you already mis that point its clear ur a sour grape no mather who ur fan of, and the dry line in a wet situation is the driving line not the inside curbes when wet get slippery, i agree with the guy who is asking for ur smoke cuase here its legal but i cant be so delusional or halucinating from it like you did or do....

nelson. in brazil, seb had a worse start than webber. i suppose that there was someone in the rbr camp who messed up sebs car?

incidentally, read sebs press conference, he actually says that webber squeezed him and he had to back off to avoid hitting him.
i wonder how many drivers have a teammate who tries to squeeze him at the start?
had webber been more generous, maybe seb would not have been in the position to be hit by senna?

It was a phenomenal race by Vettel. I keep being told that he can't drive in the wet, he can't cope without the best car, and he can't overtake.

After the crash he was in the wet, dead last, and with a damaged car on reduced power with bits falling off it! If the critics were right that should have been end of story. Instead he fought his way back though the field to collect sufficient points to take the title. One of the great clutch performances in F1 history.

I do find it quite strange that the stewards did not launch any investigation in to the turn 4 clash. usually we see those kind of incidents displayed on the screen or even mentioned by the commentators. for such a huge tangle its odd it seemed to go unnoticed by the stewards. as for the whole overtaking on yellow with SV and KK, i think the clerk of course and commentators need to have some sort briefing or perhaps remind the old farts in the commentary what the colours are. you can see in some footage of the LED lights flashing yellow then some banks flashing yellow and red checkered. some even with a steady yellow and a red and yellow flag next to it. if i could see that commentary surely could have seen that instead too busy with trying to out do each other with one-liners. completely legal ovetake.
