F1 » Force India simmers over 'lost fairytale'

The Force India team came away with a solid fifth place in Brazil, but they'd been hoping for a podium - or even better - and blamed two decisions by officials for losing out.

Drive through penalties are getting ridiculous, soon drivers will fear going for an overtake in case they get penalised.

Nico's move wasn't stupid, he just got caught out, a mistake, and he paid for it by spinning and damaging his car. Ok he took Hamilton out too but thats racing.

If he had made a ludicrous lunge from miles back then ok give him a penalty, but this was harsh imho.

Agree with Booboo. Nico was side by side with Hamilton when they approached the first corner. Naturally any driver would try to pass if he's in the inside line.

The driving was completely clean. Only that he hit a wet patch (can be seen in the replays) and that made him loose the backend and hit Hamilton.

I feel really bad for Hamilton. At the same you can't help but think the drive through for Nico was completely ridicules! Usually the stewards take a few laps and examine the accident. Here they just gave him a penalty right away!

Complete BS and I agree for the SC as well. Wasn't needed.

Worthy of note is most of the "young guns" all smashed and crashed into one another, while the last generation of drivers all showed skill and common sense.

Next year we get another new batch of "pay drive, daddies boys". I can just picture all the carbon fiber flying through the air and all the crybaby drivers blaming/finger pointing, stamping of their feet and whining.

Hulkenberg had a great racing going until he threw it all away with a series of stupid moves, smashed into LuLu then says " I am not sure what happened"
The new F1...Crumbly tires, weak engines, phony drs passing and crybaby drivers.

buck. have you a penchant for crybabies? you seem to talk a lot about them.
all these f1 drivers have done far more than you or i will ever do. and they can be as emotional as you or i. i cant see anything wrong with that.

hulk was unlucky, but it was just a racing accident, he had made a great pass on lulu and it was just unfortunate that a bit of damp made his car squirm and hit lulu. you could also question why lulu, knowing that hulk was ahead of him at that point, needed to be close enough to be hit. i would have though that given the state of the track and the conditions, that a bit of caution would have been advisable.

look at accompanying photo, hulk was giving lulu lots of room when making the pass.

Your anti-Hamilton bias is becoming tiresome. Try to post a comment with a modicum of intelligence sometime. Hulkenberg should not have been penalised for simply making a mistake but the mistake was all his. It is clear to any fair-minded person that no blame can be apportioned to Hamilton.

flasher. i am very very upset that you find my comments "tiresome".(NOT) may i suggest that you therefore neither read my comments, nor respond (sort of) to them.
but remember, they are factual!
