Here we see the reason why Hamilton will never win a future championship. He is concerned about less and less work. Fewer PR events are at the top of his list. Hardcore guys like Sebastian Vettel are always willing to play the F1 game. After all these guys are getting paid a king's ransom every year to drive the cars AND be an F1 figure for the fans and sponsors.
It would do Hamilton good to come to the USA for a few years and work just a "regular" job. He would find it would be a blessing just to get 2 weeks a year of "holiday time." I'm sure he will be "recharging his batteries" at least for the entire month of December. For some the world is not enough.

Googloplex, if you haven't already done it (and anyone else for that matter), you must add Lotus to your interests on facebook. I am regularly amused by their posts.
Yesterday they posted a view from Kimi's car (camera above driver)with a map of Sao Paolo in front of him! :) They regularly post amusing stuff and don't take themselves too seriously...the Kimi comments previously aired to his engineer was met with a post asking if we'd like t-shirts with quotes of what he said. I have a bit of a man crush on the whole team tbh :)

@Ptolomy Lewis didn't say he was going to work less. He's just going to do less sponsorship work so he can train and prepare for next year. As for taking a long holiday in December, what's wrong that? Most of teams are probably looking forward to the Christmas break before winter testing starts in January. Traveling around the world for 20 races, lugging all that equipment and living out of a suitcase is tiring enough.

And Wooohooo, 2 disagrees with my first post....any guesses who? LOL :)
Next season is going to be a doozy i hope...and with Vale back on the Yamaha in MotoGP we might just surpass this years entertainment in all forms of motorsport..we can only hope :)

@ Ptolomy I see you're still on your "Hamilton Thang" maybe you're the one that consider going on vacation. Who knows the time away might give u a new perspective. I doubt it though. lol

@ Ptolomy, you make it sound like a bad thing to do less corporate days but he does qualify that by saying it will give him more time to train !!! while this subject is on, does anyone know what the sponsor day figures are for the indivdual teams, I'm pretty sure you'll find Kimi not doing too many, I can remember him saying that was his biggest bugbear at McL, without a doubt McL want their pound of flesh

Its all about the mercs car next year the drivers are proven quality performers with one beating the 7xwdc three seasons straight and the other beating his teammate twice in 3 years who is also a wdc. So i feel the ball is in the Mrecs court to deliver a competitive car.
