McLaren gives Lewis Hamilton permission to speak to Mercedes

Fast doesnt win championships, point scoring does.

I agree that Lewis can ballz-out a lap and have a very low time, but that does not make a racer that must manage tyres, avoid contact, yield when necessary and bring home the WCC points.

If I was a team boss, and could build a decent car, my team would be Kimi and Button, simply because they seem to be the most consistant at producing points.

Lewis and Perez are very similar in my opinion.. Super quick on the short term, less consistant on the longer term.

If Merc can get a good package at Melbourne, both Lewis and Nico can give them the head start.
But that they had in 2012 as well...god only knows (and perhaps Ross) just what went wrong, what didn't go wrong actually.
Both the silver arrows were basically non-existent for overtakers in the later half of the season
