I would have thought that being Japanese DOES make him a VERY marketable driver
-since the Japanese are mad on F1 and I would have thought that in a technology driven economy like that a highly suitable sponsor company could be interested to back him or is it that their economy is still just too bad ??

Force India would do well to sign Kobayashi. To me he's one of the most exciting and talented drivers in the field.

I think McLaren have made a mistake in signing Perez. OK, he's a strong young driver, but I suspect that move was as much about economics than anything else.

And as much as I'd like Kobayashi to be in F1, I hope he wouldn't go to Caterham... they're nowhere, and won't be moving up... that sounds like the perfect seat for Bruno Senna.

I would like to see Koba & DiResta on the Force India, Kova & Barrichello on the Caterham (they need an experienced driver to develop not only this car but the one for 2014, Rubens would be a great addition!) and Senna stealing Grosjean seat on the Lotus.

Now, I know that's an almost impossible scenario... I'm not fooling myself. Grosjean is French and Lotus/Renault won't put Senna back in the car regardless of how cool that yellow helmet looks in the cockpit. He's more likely to end up at Force India...

And Rubens simply won't get a seat because despite his enormous experience, small teams prefer someone younger so they can make money with their contracts.

I hope Kovalainen will replace Grosjean at Lotus. An all Finnish line up that can show some fireworks on track. Heiki won't bring a big cheque, but keeping a car in one piece is also worth a lot of money. Grosjean on the other hand....

Perez to Mclaren about economics, dont u read the news, no personal sponsorship is goin to Macca, Carlos Slim s money stayed in Sauber to favour Esteban, that was about economics...

Kobayashi will need to find some sponsorship regardless how many yens are donated for his drive..otherwise some team will take the money-keep him for one year and ditch him whatever he does in that one year.
Force India seems to be good bet for two reasons-
1. Up till now they have never recruited basis sponsorship money (though there must be some minimum expectation)
2. If they wanted Sutil or Heikki, they would not have waited so long to announce.

My guess is they will probe what Kobi-san and Alguersuari are bringing in and then decide. Less likely but they may get ALL NEW LINEUP with multi-year contracts looking at 2014 regulations change

Not entirely certain what you mean by an all new lineup as Paul is confirmed at FI for next year although this is F1 and anything can change but I'd be surprised.

Got to admit I'm pretty disappointed with Paul's 2nd half of the year (4th place aside), he can do better....and needs to next year.

Tell you what guys
If the FIA decides that Vettel actually did overtake under Yellow flags then we must all EXPECT and demand unqualified apologies from the myriad of Vettel fanboys on this website who slagged off non Vettelite views
The fact that it is being looked into means there must be SOME essence to it at the very least
