F1 » Vettel title hangs in balance

Sebastian Vettel could be stripped of his third F1 world championship if it can be proved that he passed Jean-Eric Vergne under yellow flags at Interlagos on Sunday.

This is very unfortunate to have to be retrospectively investigated and should have been investigated immediately instead of trying to be swept under the carpet at the time hoping it would go unnoticed

Sebastian Vettel, the youngest third time F1 championship winner, soon to become the shortest lived third time F1 championship owner. This will be his most painful and unwelcomed claim to fame.

Surely if he is demoted all RB need to do is somehow get Webber disqualified..??!

A bit unfair really as if it had been found during the race RB could have taken action, such as drop Webber behind. Now they are at the mercy of a panel of judges.

Not the way a title as big as this should be decided....

This puts Ferrari in such a bad light and kicks dirt onto a great season Alonso had ... Looks to me like a bunch of sad losers. Cannot do it on the tract - take it to court..
This is why I 'm not a Ferrari fan!!! And again my faith in Alonso 's all round bull is re-instated.

Let's face it - Ferrari are a bunch of sore losers if after every lost title they throw out a load of people in the team and demand a full investigation. Knowing the FIA's bias towards Ferrari we're going to have a title decided in the wrong place - a dark day for the sport.
And on a footnote, they're completely shunning any chance of signing Vettel in the future by robbing him of one of his titles. Why??

This will sully what has been a fantastic 2012 championship which culminated in the most exciting way. Surely Alonso doesn't want to win it this way.

Hearing that Alonso is pushing them to protest says alot to me about his character. That is disappointing to me because I have spent most of the season heaping praise on him.

i don't really care for vettel or redbull but this is becoming rediculous...
Ferrari should just build a proper car and when the championship on the track and not in the stewards office...
during that last race, there was 3 strange events that really struck me as vailed efforts to help the red team.
1-malonado penalty
2-the safety car that came exactly when alonso needed it
3-the hulkenberg penalty which should have been a simple reprimand (he lost control of the car in tricky conditions)

Didn't the stewards have access to all the footage necessary to determin if Vettel passed a car under yellow on sunday???
