Sebastian Vettel could be stripped of his third F1 world championship if it can be proved that he passed Jean-Eric Vergne under yellow flags at Interlagos on Sunday.

@ptolomy
I've wanted to put this myself from the beginning but then I've given up as this is utter rubbish : to move the race in front of Big Brother's judgment.
Should the title be conversed, that might put the whole sense of a classic race under discussion.

It goes on the actual flag being waved. All the lights and gadgets are a back up so if Vettel passed under a waved green flag and yellow dash lights it should be ok for him. However, if there was no green flag then he cheated, broke one of the only rules which is consistant in all formulae (no overtaking under yellows) and should be stripped of the title. As a McLaren fan I don't care who is WDC this season as neither are from McLaren and BOTH Vettel and Alonso have used dubious methods at times this season.

There was an incident earlier in the season when it was suggested that Vettel had all 4 wheels off the track but the stewards did not penalise him because there was no footage which showed it clearly enough so he was given the benefit of the doubt.

Why would a Green flag be being waved just before the cars enter a no overtaking zone that was covered by Yellow flags ,which itself then ends with another green flag ? ?
Vettel overtakes whilst travelling within this no overtaking zone ,surely

Forgetting the rules for a mo, and forgetting who was driving, surely there's a moral obligation on SV's part, when faced with conflicting information, to assume the more cautious option - what if the green flag marshall had got it wrong and there was a stricken car in the middle of the track just up the road? sorry to bring morals into a discussion about F1.....
