F1 » Vettel title hangs in balance

Sebastian Vettel could be stripped of his third F1 world championship if it can be proved that he passed Jean-Eric Vergne under yellow flags at Interlagos on Sunday.

@Piercarlogassolini

Gimmie a break, there was a moral obligation on Ferrari not to break Massa's gearbox seal when the unit was fine but they did, if they aren't going to play nicely when why should Red Bull.

He hasn't broken the rules and nothing will change.

Poor show by Ferrari, bearing in mind the gearbox fiasco. They should have the grace to concede defeat. Nothing will happen to Vettel's title, btw - Bernie will see to that. End of.

Taz, not defending Ferarri's morals, I am no fan of theirs, but the gearbox fiasco didn't put anyone's life at risk. I know the likelihood is low, but go tell Alex Zanardi that. Or Dan Wheldon. Or Riccardo Paletti. It seems to be inherant in F1 that TEAMS find ways to break the rules, but SV PERSONALLY seems to think the rules WHILST RACING don't apply to him sometimes and maybe this is his Karma moment.

Just saw the clip on the News, he definately overtook in a yellow sector, move was complete before he reached the green light, which is where the yellow finishes, sorry Seb but you cheated, nobody else, even if you keep the title, you still cheated by putting people at risk, that's what the yellow is for.

im not biased either way . but i have to say all the vitrol towards Alonso and ferrari is over the top.
If Vettel passed under yellows then he deserves the penalty , to me it seems he does get hot under the collar at times , so could see this being the case , and also if so did Alonso make him do it ? no ! is the answer so why does he get the vitrol ?? i think Alonso drove one of the best seasons ive seen and ive been watching for many a year now . Vettel is an amazing talent , however you would be hard pressed not to realise he is driving a newey designed car ( quite a benefit )

and finally people will always say ,hes a bad loser etc , but is he really ? if you found there was clear evidence ( if it is ? ) to show a fellow driver did an illegal manouvere ? also i think its the FIA that have the obligation to investigate , not ferrari .. oh and finally i know how bad ferrari have been over the schumi years .. so im not biased

If there is a green flag Vettel has the right and duty to race on. LOL

If i were Red Bull i would study frame by frame all of Alonsos races this year. They will find something. After all Alonso hasnt got a single penalty in 2012. He pushed two cars off the road in Monza for a start, add virtual drive through in form of 20 sec penalty to his third place and see were he ends up. And you could also ask to disqualify all Ferrari resulty from Austin for bringing the sport into disrepute by mutilating one of their own cars. There must be plenty more to dig up over a full season

After all Nov 30. deadline is for all results this year, not just the Brazil race.
