Mark Webber vows to fight for the 2013 F1 title and not simply support Sebastian Vettel

Mark can race Seb all the way. I dont think Seb has a problem with that. But if you are not in contention for the WDC, then Mark has to be a supporting driver for both Seb and RB. Its only logical

"and not simply support Sebastian Vettel"

I've never seen him support Sebastian Vettel, at all. Not in words, and certainly not in deeds.

Vettel has won his three WDC's in spite of Webber's best efforts (even after Webber himself was eliminated from contention) and not because of his "support".

The odd thing is that Vettel has the humility, and Webber the arrogance.

Is Mark really that bad, at least he doesn't make the car look as good as anyone says. What if the car isn't that superior, what if the car is like a Ducati and Vettel is like Stoner. When Stoner was at Ducati everybody said it was just the bike that was fast, Stoner was nothing, it wasn't until Rossi joined Ducati everybody understood how good Stoner was. Wouldn't it be fun if Alonso joined Red Bull and he was the new Rossi. :D

First and foremost, Mark has to start the race properly. He is not going to be anywhere close to Vettel is he keeps on losing 2-3 places off the start line in half the races.

I'm going to leave it at this: when Webber has poor starts and loses positions, he has a difficult time getting back to the sharp end of the grid.

When Vettel starts in pit lane or is spun on lap 1, he seems to have little problem charging to the front.

Is it just me or does anyone else see that too?

Looking back a few months ago , what I found amusing were the rumours regarding Webber going off to replace Massa in Ferrari. Can you imagine both Webber and Alonso together? You are going to do what now with my gearbox mate????

After your vacation, get back to the track with your car and start working out what the problem is with your starts. That's going to go a LONG, LONG way to improving next season's results.

Mark never shows up to the track to do anything but race for wins...this isn't even a news item.

And to the comment about Vettel racing from pit lane or spinout back to the front...how quickly we seem to forget Webber getting caught out of Q3 due to a team error, starting in 19th and finishing 4th, in Valencia. He did it last season, too.
