Then it's quite perplexing that Mark's own performance was so indifferent at best from Singapore onwards. He finished 11th in Singapore, after all. In the last seven races of the season he was not only slower than Vettel, but slower than the two Mclaren boys and Alonso as well.

No, he wasn't right. He was just telling the British press what they wanted to hear.

It must be hard for Webber being the red headed step child at RBR. I would fault him for not being more of a team player but it almost seems like RBR would rather have a driver from another team win than him.
