So he gets Slaughtered in qualifying 16-4 to Hamilton,
Has less wins than Hamilton and gets beaten on points by Hamilton in 2012 but somehow manages to win the Autosport British competition driver award.

Well thats obviously rigged then!

Correct Jason but nobody remembers points scored through consistency. Championships, Wins, Poles and exciting racers are what people will remember in future years.

"I really enjoy being the lead driver and being the guy who can really help the team improve the car and sort of mould the car around ME," he told ITN

"I've got a couple of months to really mould the team and the car around ME at the factory."

"I'm pretty excited about the DIRECTION of development,”

Its clear whats happening and why he's excited.

Well who does button think he is I thought Mclaren did not have any favourites but maybe button has been waiting for lewis to leave as this is the only way he will lead a team. Ron Dennis said that no driver is bigger than the team has anyone told Button He will never be that good he is a hasbeen

Not too sure what that means, he had a car set up to suit his smooth driving style
and disappeared for about 5 races, not sure that he knows what he wants and McClaren certainly don't so I don't see much in the way of wins. One thing he has to do is qualify up front every race not once or twice a season as it makes his job much more difficult.

A reasonable driver that got lucky with the rule changes in 2009. After winning 6 of the first 7 races, he was average for the rest of the season after everyone else caught up.

Vettel should have won that year too.

Don't think he will every challenge for the title again.

I like Button with his accurate driving style
(though must admit I wish sometimes he would drive with just a little a bit more 'ooomph' early on in the races and not leave so much to do at the end)

When he states these type of things though I am a bit worried that he is setting himself up to be the one who is blamed if the car DOESNT perform or improve through development for next season
and if it DOES ,then its pretty sure all his haters wont be giving HIM any credit towards it
- so he hasnt really acted very politically savvy with this in my opinion
