If Lewis wins another championship or 2 he might become an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), like Adrian Newey.

But then again since the Mercedes is not considered a British car that might be a hindrance. But Mercedes F1 is a british team and the engines are built in Brixworth. They're only a German team by make.

Despite his 4 indycar titles Dario franchitti has not been granted an order of chivalry, because he was not racing for the United Kingdom, but for an american team driving a japanese powered italian car.
