Jenson Button has won the 2012 British Competition Driver of the Year Award at the AUTOSPORT Awards in London.
He beat 2008 Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, four-time IndyCar champion and triple Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti, 2012 World Touring Car champion Rob Huff, Force India F1 driver Paul di Resta and 2012 DTM runner-up Gary Paffett to win the award.

Button is the bottom of the pile compared to any driver mentioned above, how did he pull this one off, this award is based on WHAT?? is this a joke???

@TheTruth
Why are you being so defensive for? And besides, this is not a "your dad is bigger that my dad" argument. Grow up, out of topic!

And you should be thankful your great country was not never merged into 30 plus years of civil war like mine did if I remember

I wish you all the best and merry christmas

@ Cabeto from Angola...
In all fairness, (apart from the former's Indy win) Dario and Paul didn't have very good seasons...

I also don't think the Briish public, who votefor these awards, approved of Hamilton's off-track antics...

Rob, on the other hand, finally achieved something that was a long time coming! But he still had some almighty competition :)
