I have a feeling he won't be driving in F1 next year. His announcement seems like pure advertisment to get his name circulating in the media.

Alguersuari drove the Torro Rosso STR4 in 2009, with a Ferrari engine and a body by the mighty sorcerer Adrian Newey. I'm told that this combination made for excellent cars ...

Alguersuari's best finish was 15th.

Johno, Jamie was about 12 yrs old then, come in middle of season having never driven an f1 car while also competing in another class.

Wake up and judge him on what he was doing when he was fired...oh yh quite well.

Shame he dared to be on the same race track in practice as seb.... that would never do....i didnt think u were allowed 4 cars in one team.

Seriously, what is it with this try hard? He has done absolutely nothing in F1, and he carries on in the media as if he is something! Look at me, Look at me, I may have something to announce on my future!! Woopee do da. The only way you are going to get a drive in F1 next year Jamie, is if you bring in bucket loads of money with you, otherwise you will be polishing wheel nuts. Grow up!

He came into F1 far too young and with too little experience, simply because Marko was determined to get rid of the continually moaning and underperforming Bourdais. He therefore scored 0 points in 2009, only 5 in 2010 but then 26 in 2011, and was demonstrably getting better and better when he was fired because, presumably, he hadn't won a race in the 7th best car like Golden Boy Vettel.
By the way, 26 is four more points than his 'superior' replacements Ricciardo and Vergne managed between them all this year.
Anyone brave enough to take on Jaime will get a very talented and improving driver, unfairly written off far too early.
