Kimi Raikkonen aims to go for the 2013 F1 title with Lotus

If I were to guess, Lotus hired Kimi as a seasoned driver to mentor Romain. Perhaps they believed Ferrari's lies about him. Kimi took off at full speed, the top professional driver he is & Lotus had to give up their original ideas, shift on the fly, & make Kimi their main driver. I give them credit for that. Kimi dragged them along to where instead of thinking like mid-field racers, they had to change to thinking like a top team. I give them credit for being pragmatic enough make that change on the fly & to look at next year accordingly. I also think that with Kimi's win, more money will be coming in to better keep up bringing new bits to the car throughout the year. But then, Ferrari quit working on their car the end of July after Massa's accident in 2009, & after that Kimi won Ferrari's only race for the year, Spa, & gained 4 podium finishes, even after he knew a pay driver had taken his seat for 2010. When you're good, you're good! :)

I very much doubt they ever thought Grosjean was ever going to outperform Raikkonen.

If Lotus really wants to win the Constructor's title, I reckon they ditch Grosjean (before I continue: A: He already raced the last half of 2009 and this year and B: He made more mistakes at the end of the year, just for anyone about to slag me for being a Grosjean hater, which I'm not) and take up Hekki Kovalainen's offer to join. With Hekki and Kimi, Lotus can get better Constructor's points, and have TWO drivers racing for the championship. Also, Hekki is fast in a right car and who wouldn't want to see a Finnish all-star team?
