Sam Michael says McLaren won't dwell on the departure of Lewis Hamilton when he heads to Mercedes for the 2013 F1 season

No guess required. The answer is Vettel three times and Button once. In the other year (2008) Hamilton won the WDC, Ferrari won the WCC. In fact, for about 30 seconds, Massa was champion so the win was a scrape thanks to Glock.

The best car being the one that wins the constructors championship - that being the normally accepted yardstick.

If you are suggesting that McLaren was the best car then to only win once in it is pretty poor.

In the last 5 years MCLAREN DRIVERS!!!!

How is Massa the champion when the rest of the field hasnt pass the finish line?

I couldnt care less whether Glock stopped short of the finish line, Both Torro Rosso drivers and Schumacher moved out of the way for Vettel to win his 3rd championship but everyone remembers Glock???

@Blackster or whatever you are currenlty calling yourself - Do you really think that Vettel would not be able to pass a STR in Brazil? That just proves your complete lack of knowledge. And he did not need Schumacher's spot so it is irrelevant.

AH, you said the best car. I dont consider 2 x third and 3 x second to be the record of 'the best'. Second rate more accurately describes the record - and that's being generous.

tomcol, Richard, Typan, Bob etc etc all said Lewis had the best car in the last five seasons.....

And in the last 5 seasons

Alonso (you must leave one car space, one car space)
Button (Let Charlie Whiting know it was an illegal pass)

Has driven the same car as Lewis and its ONLY Lewis who managed to win a title

I will leave tomcol, richard, taipan and bob to answer your accusation against them but the records still show only 1 WDC in 5 years which, in the 'best car' is very poor. It also demonstrates that Vettel must be vastly superior to win three times in an inferior car.

Anyway, none of the other drivers were in a McLaren for all the 5 years so its very unfair to compare.

They'll be dwelling alright. I will give them till the 1/2 point of the 2013 season. Next season will end just like the last 3 years. The British media will be all over them and rightfully so. I hope after next year the head honchos at Macca decide to clean house.

Any team run by Martin whitmarsh is doom for failure. It will be status quo at Mclaren next year. Third or fourth place in the constructors Championship and don't even ask about the WDC. lol
