salan. there is nothing inherently wrong with the merc aero. the problem has all been down to mechanical grip, so suspension and transmission needs to be worked on. the continuing problem is either overheating tyres or over cold tyres. then remember the fuss over the chassis being too short or then too long.

Either way Richard, I hope it doesn't require the services of Einstein to fix. After all as I said it's the same engine so I'm sure they will work overtime to get it right for this season. Having said that it has taken them this long and still to no avail. We'll just have to wait and see. By the way Richard, what is it about Hamilton that gets you so worked up? I say this as I seem to notice you have an opposing view for any Hamilton thread that comes up no matter what the issue might be. I always let it pass however on this occasion while we are communicating I thought I would take this opportunity to ask you straight up.

salan. the problem with merc is that they do not have the right people in the right places. i know it is heresy to say this, but i believe that brawn is one of the main problems. when he was with ferrari, he was given a good team and a good driver, which he managed well, and thaty made his name. however, the skill in a team, lies with the entire team, and not jst the manager. the manager should have free control to hire and fire, but there is too much inteference by daimler ag, through haug. either brawn should go, or he should insist on having FULL control of decisions.

re lulu. nothing against him, but he is gaffe prone and should be criticised for that. but it is his fanboys who i am really getting at. they are totally blind and they do lulu more harm than good. he is NOT the second coming, and he is NOT as perfect as some insist that he is

Thank you for your reply Richard, perhaps his fans are over enthusiastic in relation to Lewis, nothing to get under your skin as such I would have thought. I have yet to see anyone who regards him as the second coming in F1 though. Nevertheless this is your opinion which you are rightly able and should express and as you rightly say he is not perfect however neither is anyone in this world. There is always a flaw in every human being in all walks of life no matter what they do. As always Richard, cheers mate and thank you for your exchange of views.

The point the Hamilton fans are missing here is that Mr Hamilton and his cohorts have been telling us for the last 5 or 6 years that he is in a different league to any other driver. And THAT is the point about his inability to win more than 1 championship, armed with one of the best cars during that period.

@Andrew - how can you say that Heikki was a failure? We was the perfect supporting teammate who always accepted team orders to let Lewis pass even though it was not legal at that time. The same could be said of Coulthard.

polo. shame on you for your insinuation! that is not nice and could not be further from the truth

salan. just to explain. when lulu got the drive with macca, the sites were alive with the talk, some from lulu himself, that he was to be the saviour of f1, and that he was going to have a reign which would be unbeatable. some were predicting that he would get 10 straight wdcs. and there are still some who think that finishing 5 4 5 4 in the last four years, was fantastic or else was the fault solely of macca. now, if you have "fans" like that, and you believe your own publicity, then that is what turns people off. not to mention lying, breaking rules, dissing stewards, crashing etc. things that no other driver in the history of motorsport has been involved in.
